Performance

CQC Insight Report

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) are introducing a new performance model called “CQC Insight”.  This allows them to identify and monitor changes in the quality of care outside of their inspections in order to support decision making and regulatory response. For GP Practices, the model is called “GP Insight”.

GP Insight brings together existing national data on GP Practices in one place combining quantitative and qualitative data. The data within the reports does not constitute a judgement on performance, but is used to inform CQC inspection teams.  CQC judgements on quality and safety will continue to come from their inspections alone and will be detailed in their inspection reports.  Our CQC Inspection Report is available to view via the link on the home page.  Alternatively you can visit the CQC direct www.cqc.org.uk for more information and reports.

The Kingsbridge Medical Centre 2017 CQC Insight report is now available.

Friends and Family Test 2015-16

Thank you to all our patients who participated in our Friends and Family Test last year.  76% of you would be highly likely or likely to recommend Kingsbridge Medical Practice to your friends and family.  This is a slight decrease on our performance for 2014-15 and is to be expected given the increasing demand on our services and appointments. For further information please the overall results, patient comments and our feedback on these results.  We will be continuing to seek your support in providing us with this important feedback during 2016-17.

Friends and Family Test 2016-2017

During 2016-17 70% of our patients who completed our test were extremely likely or likely to recommend us to their family and friends.

Friends and Family Test 2017-18

Thank you to all of our patients who completed the Friends and Family Test during 2017 – 18.  This is a valuable tool in gauging our Practice performance and your satisfaction with our services.

We are pleased to report that 75% of our patients were “extremely likely” to recommend us to their friends and family.  This rose to 88% for both “extremely likely” and “likely” to recommend.   During 2016-17 our performance for these categories was 70% and it is reassuring that your satisfaction has increased by 18% since last year’s results.

7.5% of our patients were “unlikely” or “extremely unlikely” to recommend us.  During 2016-17 our performance for these categories was 23%, so this represents a significant improvement for us.  However, our aim is to continually improve and work on areas such as telephone access and appointment availability which are ongoing challenges for the Practice given our patient demand.

Friends and Family Test 2018-2019

Thank you to all of our patients who completed the Friends and Family Test during 2018-19.  Many more of you are responding to this via our text service increasing our volume of responses and therefore giving a better indication of our performance.  We are pleased to report that 74% of our patients were “extremely likely” to recommend us to their friends and family.  This rose to 91% for both “extremely likely” and “likely” to recommend.   During 2017-18 our performance for these categories was 88%, so satisfaction levels have risen over the past year.

4% of our patients were “unlikely” or “extremely unlikely” to recommend us.  During 2017-18 our performance for these categories was 7.5% and it is good to see a slight improvement in this figure compared to last year.

We continue to work hard to deliver a good level of service to our patients against increasing demand.  During the last year we have procured and installed a new telephone system enabling call waiting and a dedicated cancellation line for patients to use without waiting in a call queue.  We have also continued with our appointment reminders for those of you who are signed up for text messaging.  Both of these enable us to free up unwanted appointments for other patients.  Online services are also increasingly being taken up by our patients and we would recommend all of our patients to consider signing up for this service, enabling you to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view your medical record without having to call us or visit the Practice.

GP Patient Survey

This is an independent survey run by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England.  The survey is sent out to over 2 million people across the UK.  The results show how people feel about their GP Practice.  You can search for and access the latest survey results for our Practice and others by visiting: www.gp-patient.co.uk
